HCMS News PARENT NIGHT REMINDER Harper’s Choice Parent Night on Thursday, February 2, from 7-8pm. Childcare will be available and we want to thank the PTA for providing food and beverages. During Parent Night, the Administration along with the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade staff and other support staff from Harper’s Choice, will share important tips about homework, class work, tests, quizzes, grades, teacher/parent communication and the other various supports available for our students. It is our goal that every parent and student will leave this event feeling confident that every student can reach their fullest potential! We do ask that parents please contact the school at 410 313-6929 to RSVP so that both food and childcare can be adequately accommodated. For more details contact Rebecca Dietz or download the form from the PTA website. Lowe’s Grant – Come and see the outdoor classroom! Last Saturday, 1/21, a small group of parents came and finished the outdoor classroom. We’d like to give a big thank you to Kim Swanson for all the work she did to make this happen. Thank you also to Neil Ryder, Leslie Ryder, Bruce Talbott, WLHS Senior - Sam Talbott, and Bill Johnson, for taking the time on a stormy day to assemble the new tables. We are especially thankful for the generosity of the Lowes Corporation whose establishment of the Lowe’s Toolbox for Education Grant has made this possible. Thank you Lowe’s!!!! Valentine’s Day Dance The second annual Valentine’s Day Dance will be held on Friday, February 10, from 3-4:15pm in the Cougar Café. Tickets will be sold for $5.00 during all lunch periods February 6-8th. Students must bring a signed permission slip in order to purchase tickets. Space will be limited to the first 134 students.
